This holiday season, the Sandburg/DCS community is coming together to support families in need within their community.

Everything looks a little better with some paint on it. That is why students at Finn Hill Middle School (FHMS) and Environmental & Adventure School (EAS) have teamed up with local muralist and EAS alumnus Austin Picinich to paint a mural at their school.

Two schools in Lake Washington School District were recognized as 2022-23 Sustaining Green Schools by King County Green Schools in June.

Carl Sandburg Elementary School/Discovery Community School (Sandburg/DCS) has been named a national finalist in an elementary school creativity challenge organized by Jersey Mike’s Subs and the Harlem Globetrotters.
