Meet the Counselors

Hi, I’m Tracy Measham, and I’m proud to be in my ninth year at Sandburg and DCS. Originally from Canada, I earned my BSc in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and my teaching certification from Simon Fraser University before moving to Seattle in 2001. I later completed my Masters in Counseling at Seattle University in 2009.
I’m passionate about helping children grow their social-emotional skills through small group work and love partnering with parents to support their amazing kids. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, gardening, crafting, going to concerts, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband and our dog. I’m also a proud mom of three grown daughters who are off doing wonderful things in college and beyond.

Hello! My name is Amy Liu (Miss Liu), and I’m thrilled to be joining the Sandburg/DCS community this school year.
I’m currently in my third and final year of the School Counseling Master’s Program at Seattle University, and I’ll be completing my year-long internship here at Sandburg/DCS. I’m passionate about supporting students and helping them grow both emotionally and academically. My approach to counseling is strengths-based and student-centered, focusing on building relationships, fostering resilience, and encouraging each child’s unique potential.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends and family. I also enjoy listening to audiobooks, playing board games, and doing arts and crafts.
I look forward to getting to know you and your children this year!

Whether students are experiencing difficulties at school or at home, these check-ins offer a safe, confidential environment to explore emotions, problem-solve, and develop strategies for success and well-being.
Parent Consultation
Our counseling team is committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of every student. Lake Washington Schools Foundation provides funding support to Lake Washington School District’s LINKS Lunch Buddy Program, which provides one-on-one mentoring for youth at school. Volunteers are adults from all sorts of backgrounds, educational levels, and stages of life who can spare an hour each week to spend with a child. Activities vary, but one thing remains constant: the adult is there to support a child’s social-emotional development.
